The Battle Drum

It won´t be over.

Bobby is driving tonight on a plane.
The stars are out. He knows them all by name.
They are always there. They always look the same.
He tells himself, "It´s not the right time to feel ashamed.
No, it´s not the right time to feel ashamed."

One day bobby met a strange colleen.
She banged a beat on a tambourine.
She said, "Boy, forget all what you´ve seen,
For the skye won´t be blue and the hills won´t be green anymore."

And it´s fee-fi-fo-fum, she bangs the battle drum
He hears the calling and he knows it won´t be over.
Fee-fi-fo-fum, she bangs the battle drum.
He hears the calling and he knows it won´t be over.

Bobby is serving for his land.
They got the plan. He got the command.
He says, "Some folks will never understand
That saviours of freedom are always heaven sent."

And it´s fee-fi-fo-fum, she bangs the battle drum
He hears the calling and he knows it won´t be over.
Fee-fi-fo-fum, she bangs the battle drum.
He hears the calling and he knows it won´t be over.

Bobby has an uncle in Jerusalem
Who tells him all the time that he´s so proud of him.
Bobby often thinks about that strange colleen
And the beat she was banging seemed to be just for him.

And it´s fee-fi-fo-fum, she bangs the battle drum
He hears the calling and he knows it won´t be over.
Fee-fi-fo-fum, she bangs the battle drum.
He hears the calling and he knows it won´t be over.
